 The Purme Foundation runs a business focused on providing welfare and good job opportunities for young adults with developmental disabilities. One of their initiatives, the Purme Social Farm, is located in Ohak-dong, not far from downtown Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do. The Purme Social Farm is a smart farm where young farmers with disabilities can interact with society and develop a sense of empathy in their workplace. This farm is also connected with the Muisoop  Bakery Cafe, creating a meaningful collaboration between agriculture and hospitality, providing a nurturing and supportive environment for these young individuals.

 Muisoop Bakery Cafe is located across from the Purme Social Farm and was created with the support of several major corporations. The cafe's basement, certified with HACCP, offers a hygienic and comfortable environment for baking bread and cookies, where young adults with developmental disabilities can learn rules and procedures. On the first floor, the cafe serves coffee and beverages, providing opportunities for direct interaction with customers, helping individuals develop their skills as baristas.

Muiseup, a large cafe in Yeoju, spans about 470 pyeong (approximately 1,550 square meters) across its basement and two floors. The spacious and relaxed atmosphere leaves a lasting impression. In terms of scale and quality, it stands as an unmatched establishment near downtown Yeoju. 

 The front of the cafe is made up of large windows, allowing for ample natural light, and the high ceilings contribute to a spacious atmosphere. The central area of the cafe features stairs leading to the second floor, with tiered tables designed to blur the boundaries between the first and second floors, enhancing the sense of space. On the first floor, you can order baked goods and beverages, while a collection of 3,000 books donated by a major publishing house is available for guests to enjoy. The tables and chairs on both floors are simple and cohesive, and on the second floor, there are two separate rooms available for group use. The walls are adorned with artwork donated by well-known figures, and various equipment, including the hand-drip coffee machines, were all donated to Muiseup, adding a special significance to the cafe.

Unlike many large cafes that struggle to maintain a consistently high quality, the bakery at Muiseup consistently delivers excellent flavors. Every time I visit Muiseup, I am always impressed by the taste, and I especially make sure to choose the bread made with tomatoes grown at the nearby Purme Social Farm. The tomatoes grown at Purme Social Farm are not only flavorful but also have a great appearance, and they are sold at Muiseup Cafe as well. The tomato juice, made with these farm-fresh tomatoes, is a must-try drink at Muiseup. It offers a refreshing and unique taste that you won’t find anywhere else, making it highly recommended.

It was difficult to find a satisfying cafe in Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do, but this place, with its clean facilities, spacious atmosphere, delicious beverages and bakery, and the final touch of support from various companies and individual donors, is sure to provide an exceptional experience. It’s definitely a place that guarantees the utmost satisfaction.
