I recently spent a day at the 46-pyeong Noble C-Type room at Gonjiam Resort. It was much more comfortable than a few years ago. One of the highlights was using the Gonjiam Resort app. It allowed me to easily register my vehicle for parking, complete pre-check-in, use a mobile room key, and even check out, all in a simple and time-saving manner. It was impressive how convenient it made the whole process.

The 46-pyeong Noble C-Type at Gonjiam Resort is located in the L Village building and features three bedrooms, making it ideal for larger groups or families to stay comfortably. The bedrooms include a twin bed, a double bed, and a traditional ondol room. The bedroom with twin beds is equipped with a bathroom that has a bathtub. The bathroom features a bathtub, a shower booth, a toilet, and a wash basin, offering a spacious and well-designed layout.

The living room is furnished with a three-person sofa and a single sofa, providing ample seating space. The kitchen is equipped with a table that can seat six people, as well as an induction cooktop (2 burners), a refrigerator, a rice cooker, a microwave, and an electric kettle. The living room also has a bathroom with a shower booth, wash basin, and toilet, which can be used comfortably. The Noble C-Type features a total of two bathrooms, making it more than sufficient for a group of six people to use comfortably.

The twin beds are sized as singles, but there is also a double bed room available. Right next to it is the ondol room, which is a traditional Korean heated floor room. The living room and each bedroom have individual temperature control for heating. In the hallway of the ondol room, there is a wardrobe and an extra blanket. Additionally, the ondol room is equipped with a small vanity table.

A convenient tool for making the most of your stay at Gonjiam Resort is the dedicated mobile app. With the app, you can easily make room reservations, book dining options, and secure access to various facilities, such as the sledding hill. Additionally, you can also make reservations for ski passes and rentals.

The app also offers various features related to your room. You can register your vehicle, receive a mobile room key, and easily complete both check-in and check-out. Thanks to the pre-check-in and check-out options through the app, you can avoid waiting at the front desk, receive your mobile room key, and head straight to your room, making the process much more convenient.

The mobile room key can be unlocked through the app, or you can use the door lock password for access. If you share the door lock password with your companions, you don't need to carry the room key around, eliminating the worry of losing it. There's also no need to wait for the person with the key, making it even more convenient for everyone.

Sledding Park
With the Gonjiam Resort's dedicated app, you can easily book the sledding park by selecting the facility reservation option. Reservations can be made up to 7 days in advance, including the current day. The operating hours are divided into four time slots: Morning (09:00–11:30), Afternoon A (12:00–14:30), Afternoon B (15:00–17:30), and Night (18:00–20:30). The most popular time is Afternoon A, while Afternoon B tends to get cooler as it nears 5 PM, with the temperature dropping in the shade.

Even adults can enjoy the sledding, and only a limited number of people are allowed to use the sleds at a time. The area is well-managed, so it remains quite comfortable to enjoy. Keep in mind that during weekends, popular time slots for all facilities, including the sledding park, get booked up quickly. It's highly recommended to make reservations in advance to ensure availability for your desired time. For example, on a weekend in January, the estimated waiting time for resort rentals was around 3 hours.

La Spa
Gonjiam Resort features a spa with an indoor swimming pool (1.1m depth) and an outdoor spa. However, the size of the facilities is relatively small in comparison to the price, which might leave some guests less satisfied. The shower facilities consist solely of shower booths, with around 12 available. To make the spa experience more reasonable, it's recommended to use it with the maximum available discount.

I returned to Gonjiam Resort during the winter season, and it was noticeably cleaner and more convenient than before. The rooms seemed newly renovated, with no signs of wear and tear, and the use of the mobile app made everything more efficient and quicker. In the morning, I took a leisurely walk through the ecological park, calmly wrapping up my time at Gonjiam.
