The National Incheon Maritime Museum: A Harmonious Blend of Nature, Architecture, and the Sea
Located along the coast at the foot of Wolmi Mountain, the National Incheon Maritime Museum was designed to preserve the natural skyline of Wolmi Island and its surrounding landscape. Its curved, aerodynamic façade helps deflect sea winds, while large glass windows at the front allow ample natural light to pour into the building.
The museum emphasizes sustainability by incorporating eco-friendly materials such as wood and fiberboard ceiling panels. The entire structure was built with energy efficiency in mind.
